Grown by the Mandan tribe of North Dakota, it produces multicolored kernels.  This corn is dried before it is eaten and often used to make a traditional dish called misaquatash.  

Phaseolus bulgarisHidatsa Shield Bean
This pole bean were grown by the Hidatsa tribe in the Missouri Valley of North Dakota.  These beans are described in the book, Buffalo Bird Woman's Garden:  Agriculture of the Hidatsu Indians.  

Curcubita pepoSummer crookneck squash
This is a worty skin variety of flavorful summer squash listed in seed catalogs from the early 1800's.  Summer squash are at their best when harvested as young fruits about 6 inches logn.
